Building Community at the DubHub

There is always something going on at the DubHub!

  • Coffee & Conversation

Did you know that The DubHub offers a free Coffee & Conversation social event every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10 am until noon? It is open to the public, and all are welcome to pop in and have a hot cup of java on the house. What better way to get to know more people and expand your social circle? Mondays are hosted by June Brening, and Wednesdays are hosted by George Crawford and others, all of whom create a very warm and welcoming environment. Often, delicious treats are available, too!

    American Mahjong

Weekly on Thursdays from 1 to 3 PM

Mahjong is a fun, fast-paced game of strategy and luck using beautiful tiles to create a winning mahjong combination.  Whether you’ve been playing a while or want to learn this fun game, there’s a place for you at one of the tables.  Experienced players are here to teach the rules and offer advice if you’ve never played before.  Come see what the mahjong craze is all about!

    Community Forums

Community forums are usually held on the fourth Saturday of the month from 4 to 5 pm.  The forum provides another great reason for folks to gather at the Hub to hear a local expert discuss a specific topic each month.  Forum themes have focused on a wide range of subjects, including the US Constitution,  remembering the ice storm of 2008, how to recognize and what to do about invasive species in your garden, and mental health awareness.

Future topics might include a community book discussion or beekeeping in the Monadnock region.  Whatever the topic, the forums are a fun way to connect and learn with and from our neighbors.

Monadnock Storytelling and Spoken Word Circle

Join master storytellers, Sebastian Lockwood and PapaJoe Gaudet, on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Whether you want to hear a good story, craft a new story, or workshop a story with others, this is a great time to explore the craft with talented teachers and like-minded individuals

  • There is always something happening seasonally at the Hub to give you good reason to visit with the family!  Always check the calendar and the weekly newsletter for new events, and possibly plan around some of the our favorite, recurring yearly activities including, but never limited to:
