Smartphone Photo Contest Call For Photos

We are very excited to once again hold a Smartphone Photo Contest featuring images caught over the course of 2025 by those who live, work or go to school in the Monadnock Region. The deadline for photo submissions is January 7. The contest is open to photographers in three categories:  amateurs, professionals (defined as anyone who has received remuneration for their photography) and children (age 12 and under). Each entrant may enter up to three photos taken between December of 2024 and December of 2025 of a person, place, a detail shot, or an event anywhere in the Monadnock Region. Prizes will be awarded at a special reception at the DubHub on, Friday,  January 9, from 5-7 pm. The fee for entering the contest is $10 per photo, which will cover the cost for printing a 8” x 10” glossy copy that you may keep. Winners will be announced and prizes given at the reception. All entrants may keep their printed photos. There is a $10 entry fee per photo to help cover the cost of printing. This contest is sponsored by Peterborough Camera, Copies & More and the DubHub. The Small Treasures Art Show and Sale is an annual event, held in the beginning of December. Area artists are invited to exhibit and sell their works, 5x7 inches and under. Both two- and three-dimensional pieces are accepted. The preview reception for this show is held on the first Friday of December from 5-7 pm.

Artists contribute the proceeds from the sale of their first piece and 20% of the proceeds from the sale of subsequent pieces to the Community Center.

The 9th Annual Small Treasures Art Show & Sale, Friday - Monday, December 5, 6, 7, & 8

Small Treasures showcases the artwork of local artists who exhibit two and three-dimensional pieces, which are no larger than 5 x 7 inches. All items will be available for purchase over a four day period at the DubHub, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the center.. An average of 40 area artists participate each year in one of our largest fundraisers. From the beautiful to the fanciful, you are sure to find the perfect gift among the paintings, sculptures, handmade jewelry, and more. The opening reception will be held on Friday, December 5, from 5 to 7 pm, and the show and sale will continue on Saturday, December 6, from 10 am to 3 pm, Sunday, December 7, from 12 to 3 pm, and Monday, December 8, from 10 am to 3 pm. The exhibit features original paintings and limited-edition prints donated by art collectors and supporters of the DubHub, all seeking new homes. Works will be sold through a silent auction, which begins during the reception and continues through Friday, Nov. 28. Clipboards for bidding will remain in place until noon on Nov. 28, when the auction closes and winning bidders may take home their pieces. The fundraiser supports the DubHub’s arts and community programs.

Pamela R. Tarbell focuses on creating visual color vibrations in her paintings, exploring  different subject matter with bright, complicated compositions. As a painter, educator, and advocate, she strives to create art that feeds the soul, tells a story and always leaves you with something new to enjoy or discover.

Elizabeth Leone Holmes  is an outdoor/plein air oil painter with a passion for nature -  the seasons, weather, and light are the main inspiration for her work. Recognizing that we are often too busy to notice the beauty around us, she is inspired to create paintings to remind us of the splendor that is our environment. She explores the New England landscape from its mountains to the smallest rocks in rivers and creeks, throughout the seasons. 

Join us for an inspiring, joyful and creative afternoon, as we create our own unique vision boards! This workshop will be taught by Donni Webber, an artist, Wisdom Guide, and Wellness Advocate, and Louise Crooks, an artist, Visibility Biz Coach, and Wellness Advocate. Both live locally and are excited to share this creative journey of manifestation with you!

After a powerful guided meditation, your unconscious mind helps you to envision your future. Then we dive into putting together a collage of images representing where you'd like your life to go.

Last Chance to meet Franz Feige who will be on site on March 7th. With over 35 years of experience working with wood, Feige has engaged in many areas of woodworking, including teaching, but always returns to the turned, carved, sculpted, and band-sawn wooden vessel as his main interest.
