Coffee House & Open Mic, Saturday, June 21
On the third Saturday of each month, there is a combined Coffee House & Open Mic from 6–9pm. Coffee and sweet & savory snacks are available. Attendees are also welcome to BYOB & dinner/snacks. A featured performance takes place for about 60 minutes, with open mic slots available both prior and after.
This month, we are pleased to feature Scott Heron, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in the Portsmouth, NH area. He’s been involved in a wide variety of contemporary and traditional folk, bluegrass, and Americana projects and performs both solo as well as in a variety of acts including The Treetellers and Big Sweetie. His work with duo Green Heron has been featured throughout his home state including on NH Public Radio, NH Chronicle and in NH Magazine. He grew up playing metal music before finding more joy in banjos and acoustic music.
Email info@dublincommunitycenter.org to reserve a spot on the open mic sign-up, or just show up that evening to try your luck at finding an available spot on the list. A suggested donation starting at $5 (or more) can be given at the door to help offset costs, and a hat will be passed during the performance for contributions to the featured performer(s).
