Due to the slippery, snowy conditions on roads, parking lots, and driveways, we decided to err on the side of caution and cancel tonight's Coffee House & Open Mic. We hold this popular event on the third Saturday of every month. If you were particularly looking forward to hearing tonight's featured band, Dragonfly, I am thrilled to announce that they have rescheduled to feature at the March Coffee House & Open Mic on March 21st. On February 21st, the Milkhouse Heaters will be our feature. Hope to see you then! Until then, stay warm and stay safe!
On the third Saturday of each month, there is a combined Coffee House & Open Mic from 6–9 pm. Coffee and snacks are available. Attendees are also welcome to BYOB and dinner/snacks. A featured performance takes place for about 60 minutes, with open mic slots available both prior and after.
This month, we are pleased to feature the trio, Dragonfly, made up of members Judy Blake, Danny Solomon, and Ken Hamshaw. This group of experienced musicians has been making music together for almost 20 years, adding their special touch to an eclectic mix of some of the best songs by the best artists from the 60s to today, with funky grooves, rich vocals, and lots of soul and harmony.
Email info@dublincommunitycenter.org to reserve a spot on the open mic sign-up, or just show up that evening to try your luck at finding an available spot on the list. A suggested donation starting at $5 (or more) can be given at the door to help offset costs, and a hat will be passed during the performance for contributions for the featured performer(s).
